"Pull-up" leather is a kind of oiled leather that is soaked with oil during tanning. It creates a "pull-up effect" where by pressing up against the leather from behind with causes the oil to move inside the leather creating a brightened pressed-up surface. The oil keeps the leather moist and smooth to the touch and gives it an elegant glossy sheen.
